Established in 2007, Deise Engineering has built a reputation for professional project management and successful partnerships with our clients, including Transport Scotland. We are proud to contribute to our clients’ ability to deliver projects on time and on budget.

We provide project management of contracts, such as trunk road maintenance, procurement, civil engineering, rail franchise, highways and structures, utility infrastructure, and waste water and drainage. Our expertise includes handling the bid submission and evaluation, as well as contracting and tendering.

Our project managers establish effective project control systems and take client briefs, as well as managing key project issues and monitoring project costs in line with budgets. We work in all types of construction, rail, building, civil engineering, and road and structures. In addition, we are qualified to work in restricted, disciplined and controlled environments.

Kenneth Power, a Civil Engineering Project Manager since 2002, gained his experience in the UK, Ireland, and the USA.

What’s in a name?

The company name is derived from the Gaelic word for County Waterford, Ireland, which is known locally as The Déise (pronounced “day-sha”). From this region’s picturesque landscape and proud history, the company derives its traditions of value, ethical conduct and pride in quality workmanship.

Kenneth, a Project Manager and Engineer since 2002, brings experience in managing large-scale projects, including managing procurement, the contracting and tendering processes, complying with legal requirements and other specifications, handling documentation and recording, and bid submission and evaluation. This includes work on public utilities, and the construction of carriageways, structures and tunnels.

In 2007, he set up Deise Engineering and now manages clients and helps to deliver their expectations. From the planning, development, and implementation stages, through to operation and final mobilisation, Kenneth delivers diverse and complex construction and infrastructure projects for his clients’ organisations on schedule and on budget in time-critical environments.

He is your go-to person to develop project plans and schedules, manage your stakeholders, and solve conflicts. He has managed many difficult situations and challenging people to achieve positive outcomes for his clients and employers.

Kenneth drives performance using skills in contractor management, project team management, and project delivery management. He can represent you and your company at meetings and liaise with your contractors and engineers. By leading teams by example and with a positive approach, Kenneth and his team will successfully resolve problems and overcome obstacles to deliver your project on time and on budget.

After gaining a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) degree in Civil & Transportation Engineering from Edinburgh Napier University, Kenneth earned industry certifications in Construction Site Management: Building and Civil Engineering, Construction Skills Certification Scheme CSCS Black Card, Construction Site Manager’s Safety Certificate for The Site Management Safety Training Scheme for the Construction and Civil Engineering Industries, EUSR DOMS Card and EUSR National Water Hygiene Card, and Confined Space Entry certification.
