Since December 2015, Deise Engineering has been involved in network maintenance and commercial management of the contract, including contractor management and co-ordinating and managing a Trunk Road Operating Company Contract for our client, Transport Scotland.
We deliver consistently high-quality customer service and maintenance of the 3500-km-long trunk road network. This £20 billion asset is the Scottish Ministers’ biggest asset, so the safe and efficient operation is fundamental to delivering the Scottish Government’s purpose of sustainable economic growth.
Working across Directorates and with Scottish Government Directorates, we seamlessly integrate structural maintenance and improvement projects into mainstream operations. We work in partnership to resolve commercial, contractual, and measurement issues and to develop contract documentation such as project plans and schedules.
The scope of project management includes overseeing the Operating Company, which manages and maintains the trunk road network. Our network manager ensures that normal operation is restored quickly after critical or major issues.
In addition, Deise Engineering’s Director and Engineer delivers annual budget financial management and takes charge of the financial management of the Operating Company Contracts. We collaborate with internal and external specialists within the Performance Audit Group and Roads Directorate.
Deise Engineering effectively deals with the high volume of complex correspondence, enquiries, and briefings, and actively engages with our client’s service users to deliver professional, responsive customer service.
