A1 Dualling East Lothian – construction of carriageways
From 2004 to 2006, the Deise Engineering project manager managed all site matters and day-to-day project management. He directed all aspects of all setting out and ensured drawings were constructed properly. In addition, he handled correspondence, site management, engineering, and site engineers, as well as all programming, client liaison, safety, and traffic management, public liaison, and safety implementation.
The construction of the dual carriageway included drainage, kerbing, access roads, and safety barriers and the construction of a carriageway that comprised the total re-alignment of a section of a highway, involving imported fill, main drainage, and access roads and the re-construction of footways and carriageways. Also, he project managed the construction of a large diameter drainage system and settlement retention pond and reconstruction of a carriageway and footway.
Our project manager performed site activity reviews, assessed progress, developed project details and insured all QA was being followed by engineers. He performed take-offs and ordered materials, and implemented design drawings and specifications, site QA and work plans.
He produced reports and programmes, chaired meetings, met with clients and designers and managed relationships with consultants and staff.
